With my newest bass a months old, I decided to take time to focus on my slap technique. I wanted to challenge myself to play a jazz tune all slap. In my practice sessions, I also slapped the improvised solo. But this take, that was my favorite, had me slapping the statements of the melody. Finding ways to interpret a jazz piece, with slap bass technique, was great fun.
